April is a really great time at MonkeyKat!  It is National Poetry Month and Independent Bookstore Day is Saturday, April 26th. We have lots of fun planned to celebrate, like a  release party, an open mic night, half price on select hardcovers, giveaways, and more surprises.  More exciting news- Our new website is up and you can now shop ebooks and audiobooks right from there!  You'll also be able to pre-order new releases and sign up for events.  We're looking forward to a packed Spring and Summer, with more author visits, arts & crafts, and parties.  Be sure to look for our emails and stay in the know with monkeykatbooks.com , and on Instagram and Facebook.  See you soon, and happy reading! -Kat

One year ago this month, I signed a lease for the space that is now MonkeyKat Books. What an amazing journey it has been! Thank you all for coming along for the ride! We've had such a fun winter with you, even a little snow to play in, and now we are looking forward to Spring! March will be a fun time here at MonkeyKat with book clubs, author events, workshops and more. I have just returned from my first trip to the American Booksellers Association conference with so many fantastic ideas. I can't wait to bring them to life for you in 2025! See you soon! Is there anything better than a cozy read with your favorite snuggle buddy? My son and grandson certainly are making the most of the cold weather. I hope you are enjoying this winter and allowing yourself the time to rest. All of nature is doing just that so let's follow its example and take it slow. Christmastime is here and our family is celebrating so many blessings, most of all our very first grandchild! He is just the sweetest little bundle of joy! We are so delighted to count all of you as part of our holiday this year as well. Stop in for a cuppa hot tea or cocoa and we'll help you get some names crossed off your list. We're working on gift boxes, with a great book and themed goodies added in. How easy is that?! And of course gift cards are so much fun for the book lover in your life. November is here and there are so many wonderful things to be thankful for! My first grandchild will be arriving in a couple of weeks and my heart is overflowing with love for him already! My dream of opening a community bookshop has been even better than I imagined. The coolest tuxedo cat ever has found me and chosen the shop for his home. And, I have met so many new friends like you.
